Our Process
Our adoption process is designed to ensure that our animals find the purrfect match and that our adopters are well-informed and prepared to care for their new pet. Here's what you can expect from the adoption process:
Step 1: Browse our available pets
Take a look at the cats available for adoption on our website. You can browse their profiles and learn about their personalities, history, and medical conditions. If you see a pet that you're interested in, please fill out our adoption application form to start the process.
Step 2: Apply
Begin your journey to pet adoption by filling out our comprehensive application. This will help us understand your preferences, lifestyle, and living situation, ensuring the perfect match between you and your new furry companion. Click the button below to access the application and take the first step toward welcoming a loving pet into your home. The Adoption Application form we use is published off-site on Airtable.
Step 3: Application review
Our adoption team will review your application to determine whether you're a good fit for the pet you're interested in. We may contact you to schedule a phone or in-person interview to learn more about you and your lifestyle, and to discuss the requirements and responsibilities of pet ownership.
Step 4: Meet and greet
If your application is approved, we'll arrange a meet and greet between you and the pet you're interested in. This is an opportunity for you to spend some time with the pet and get to know them better. We may also ask you to bring any family members, roommates, or pets who will be living with the adopted pet.
Step 5: Adoption fee and paperwork
If everything is successful, we'll ask you to sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fees vary depending on the pet's age, breed, and medical condition, but typically range from $100 to $400. The adoption fee helps us cover the costs of caring for the pet while they're in our rescue, including medical expenses, food, and shelter.
Step 6: Take your new pet home
Congratulations! You're now the proud parent of a new pet from The Circle of Life. We'll provide you with all the information and resources you need to ensure that your new pet makes a smooth transition to their new home. We'll also be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have after the adoption.
